Sir Asman Jah of Hyderabad stipulated that if Anis recited marasiya wearing Hyderabad pagri, he would offer him Rs: 5000/- a great sum at that time. Anis declined.
Panegyrics are written for living one, and elegies are meant to extol the virtues of the dead.

Jiske pas asa ho, use Musa nahi khete
